Delaney Ave. Participants can choose between a 10K (6.2 miles) or a 6K (3.7 miles) distance with a fee of $4 per person, while children 12 and under can join for free without seeking credit.

Another community gathering is the Orlando Farmers Market, held on August 17, 24, and 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lake Eola Park. The market features fresh fruits, vegetables, local cuisines, and unique artwork, all available at no cost for entry.

On August 23, the Funding Love Fest will occur at Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, starting at 5:30 p.m. This family-friendly fundraising event includes food trucks, games, prizes, and entertainment from a DJ, also free to attend. Reservations can be made through their website.

As September approaches, the educational opportunities expand with the How to Grow Microgreens Class on September 2 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the UF/IFAS Extension. This class covers the basics of growing microgreens, including making a pot for them, with a fee of $20.

On September 7, two events will take place: the Orlando Area Historical Rose Society Talk at Harry P. Leu Gardens at 2:30 p.m., discussing companion plants for roses, and a Coin Show at the Apopka Community Center, running from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 519 S. Central Ave., featuring over 30 coin dealers and accepting submissions.

The How to Build a Fall Vegetable Garden Class is scheduled for September 9 at the UF/IFAS Extension, with a fee of $10 for in-person attendance and $5 for online participation. This class aims to equip attendees with skills for seasonal gardening.
