The audition process requires applicants to submit an introduction video, including their name, current city, age, and enthusiasm for Epic Universe. Filming can be done in a User-Generated Content (UGC) style or a point-of-view (POV) selfie format. Notably, prior acting experience is not a prerequisite, but applicants must reside in the Orlando area to be eligible. The casting call for the Epic Universe commercial remains open until March 17, 2025.

Casting Opportunities in Orlando

Universal Orlando Resort is also casting for various projects in the Orlando area, encompassing feature films, scripted shows, and short films. Among the opportunities are lead roles for Eve-9 and Lyra-5, both female, aged between 25 and 50, and 25 and 40, respectively, with hourly compensation of around $30. Additional featured roles include day players like Abigail, William, and Brittany, with application details available upon inquiry.

Scripted Show Roles

For scripted productions, the resort is looking for voiceover reporters and announcers of ages 18 to 100. Other significant roles include Annie, a female day player aged 20-35, and Liam Stevenson, a male day player aged 25-35, offering an average hourly rate of $12.

Short Film Casting

Further casting opportunities include roles in short films, comprising multiple characters like Nat, a non-binary lead aged 18-25, and Lilah, a supporting female role in the same age range, with an hourly rate of $15 to $20. The resort is also casting background extras aged 10 to 70 nationwide.

Nationwide Casting Projects

Universal Orlando’s casting endeavors are not confined to the Orlando region only. Upcoming nationwide projects include several feature films, with roles such as Tanner Keith, a male lead aged 20-35, compensated at $37 per hour, and Mary Ann, a lead role for actresses aged 18-30, who will be paid a higher rate of $75 per hour.

Seasonal Roles at the Mega Movie Parade

Additionally, there are opportunities for seasonal actors in Universal’s Mega Movie Parade, searching for performers who resemble iconic characters from films like Back to the Future and Ghostbusters. Male-presenting actors should stand between 5′ and 6’3″, while female-presenting individuals should be 4’9″ to 5’8″. Submissions for this casting are open until April 1, 2025.

Wicked Casting Call

Universal Orlando Resort has also initiated a casting call for actors to embody Glinda and Elphaba from the renowned musical “Wicked.” Applicants should be female-presenting and stand between 5’1″ and 5’4″ in height. The deadline for these submissions is concurrently set for March 17, 2025.
