Universal Orlando is set to unveil its fourth theme park, Epic Universe, on May 22, 2025. This new attraction will feature five unique themed lands, including Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Preview tickets will be available starting May 1, 2025, with single-day ticket sales beginning June 1, 2025. The park aims to redefine the theme park experience in Central Florida with diverse attractions and immersive experiences. Guests can also enjoy new hotel accommodations close to the park.
Orlando – Central Florida is set to welcome its first major theme park in 26 years with the grand opening of Universal Epic Universe scheduled for May 22, 2025. This new addition features five uniquely themed lands, enriching the region’s extensive list of attractions and providing visitors with immersive experiences tailored to beloved franchises.
The five themed lands within Epic Universe include Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How To Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park. As Universal’s fourth theme park in Orlando, it aims to offer diverse entertainment options, supplementing the existing Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay.
To coincide with the park’s opening, the Orlando Sentinel has launched a survey inviting the public to nominate the best theme park experiences across the leading four Central Florida parks—including Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, and Legoland Florida—by May 28, 2025.
Starting May 1, 2025, the general public can purchase preview tickets to experience Epic Universe in advance of its grand opening. These preview tickets will be available from May 1 to May 19, offering guests a unique opportunity to explore the park before it officially opens. Initial sales will be offered to annual passholders and team members prior to the public opening.
Epic Universe is poised to host over 50 attractions, which may experience significant wait times as visitors flood the park following its launch. Central to the park is Celestial Park, designed as a vibrant hub featuring captivating landscapes, water fountains, and stunning statues. This central area will include nighttime shows enhanced by music and visuals.
Part of the attractions found at Epic Universe is the How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, which boasts an interactive adventure play space named the Viking Training Camp, alongside an engaging stage show titled “The Untrainable Dragon”. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of dragons and Vikings through this themed area.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will also be featured, providing guests with live performances and opportunities to interact with magical creatures as well as beloved characters from the series, enriching the overall immersive experience.
Classic Universal monsters come to life in the Dark Universe area, offering experiences such as monster makeup demonstrations and encounters with iconic characters like Frankenstein’s Monster, hence catering to fans of classic horror.
Meanwhile, the Super Nintendo World section will entice gamers with interactive gaming experiences facilitated through Power-up Bands, enabling guests to participate in themed quests inspired by popular Nintendo games.
Along with the attractions, Universal plans to enhance visitor accommodations with three new hotels: the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Universal’s Terra Luna Resort, and Universal’s Stella Nova Resort. These options aim to provide a seamless experience for guests wishing to stay close to the new theme park.
Single-day ticket sales for Epic Universe will start on June 1, 2025, with pricing anticipated to range between $164 to $189 per person per day, depending on peak season demand. For visitors seeking heightened experiences, Universal Express Passes and VIP tour options are expected to be available shortly after the park’s opening, allowing for quicker access to attractions.
With its diverse offerings and immersive experiences, Universal Epic Universe is set to redefine the theme park landscape in Central Florida, marking a significant milestone in Universal’s expansion and enhancing the region’s appeal to tourists from around the globe.
