This decision was ratified by the UCF Board of Trustees on June 12, 2025, marking a new chapter for the venue.

The name change comes in response to FBC Mortgage’s transition to Acrisure Mortgage, which took effect following Acrisure’s acquisition of FBC Mortgage in April 2024. This transition solidifies a continuing partnership with Acrisure, a global fintech leader that operates in 23 countries and employs over 19,000 individuals worldwide.

Despite the name change, UCF Athletics reassured fans and stakeholders that the relationship with Acrisure Mortgage remains as strong as ever. The Vice President and Director of Athletics at UCF, Terry Mohajir, highlighted that the stadium’s renaming does not alter its significance as a cherished symbol of the UCF football experience.

The nickname “The Bounce House,” which reflects the vibrant and energetic atmosphere of the stadium, has been a fixture since its opening in 2007. Fans affectionately refer to the stadium by this name, attributed to the crowd’s unified bouncing during games. The stadium has a seating capacity of 45,301 and cost approximately $55 million to construct.

In preparation for the upcoming Knights’ football season in 2025, UCF plans to initiate updates to signage and branding this summer. These updates are aimed not only at incorporating the new name but also at ensuring that the venue’s identity reflects UCF’s spirited culture and ongoing partnership with Acrisure.

The stadium’s history includes previous naming rights, such as Bright House Networks Stadium (2007-2017) and Spectrum Stadium (2017-2020). In 2022, FBC Mortgage entered into a 10-year naming rights agreement with UCF, valued at $19.5 million, which established its association with the university through this naming rights agreement.

To accommodate the nickname that fans have embraced, reinforcements to minimize the structural bouncing risk were implemented before the 2008 season. However, the nickname “The Bounce House” endured and became emblematic of the home field advantage UCF football enjoys.
