Coming into this series, the Knights have an overall record of 18-14 and a conference mark of 3-9. Recently, the team faced some tough challenges. They dropped three games at home to the No. 23 Kansas, and just the other day, they narrowly lost a nail-biter against North Florida in Jacksonville by just one run.

In the series against Kansas, Lex Boedicker shone brightly with an impressive .500 batting average (6-for-12), bringing in four RBIs and crossing the plate twice.
