Inductee Highlights
Dexter Lyons
Dexter Lyons transferred to UCF from Daytona Beach Community College and became a standout player for the men’s basketball team. In his senior season, he averaged 18.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. Lyons made history by recording the first triple-double in the program’s history against Troy on January 11, 2003. His contributions helped lead UCF to two consecutive ASUN championship game appearances and a berth in the 2004 NCAA Tournament.
Cornell Green
Cornell Green played football for UCF from 1995 to 1998, where he served as a four-year starting tackle. He started all 33 games in his final three seasons and was part of the impressive 9-2 team in 1998. Despite going undrafted after college, Green enjoyed an 11-year career in the NFL, playing for seven teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with whom he won Super Bowl XXXVII.
Mike Sims-Walker
Mike Sims-Walker, a prolific receiver for UCF from 2003 to 2006, recorded a total of 184 receptions for 2,561 yards and 17 touchdowns during his college career. He set a UCF single-season record with 90 receptions in 2006. Sims-Walker was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft and also played for the St. Louis Rams and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Miriam Metzcus-Ochoa
Miriam Metzcus-Ochoa excelled in volleyball at UCF from 1991 to 1994, being a pivotal player who achieved three All-ASUN First Team selections. She led her team to three consecutive conference championships and the program’s first NCAA Tournament berth in 1994. Metzcus-Ochoa holds several records for UCF, including the most kills (1,811), digs (1,644), and service aces (235) in program history.
Aurieyall Scott
Aurieyall Scott made history as the first athlete in UCF history to win an NCAA championship in the 60-meter dash in 2013. Throughout her career from 2011 to 2013, she earned five NCAA Championship medals and secured 14 All-American honors while leading UCF to five Conference USA titles.
Alex Haynes
Alex Haynes, a running back for UCF from 2000 to 2004, became the all-time leader for rushing yards at UCF upon graduation with 3,356 yards. He was also the first Knight running back to surpass 4,000 all-purpose yards. Haynes went on to have stints in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos.

Since its establishment in 1998, the Hall of Fame has recognized the achievements of student-athletes, growing to a total of 110 members. The induction ceremony will include a cocktail reception and dinner, with individual tickets priced at $175, while a table of ten can be reserved for $2,000.
