The unveiling took place during a County Commission meeting, led by County Manager Don Fisher, who outlined the ambitious plans for the 210-acre site.

This transformative project will be developed in partnership with the Wilf family, known for their ownership of the Orlando City Soccer Club, Orlando Pride, and the Minnesota Vikings. The collaboration aims to bring new life to the area through the construction of various facilities and amenities.

The proposed development consists of a mix of residential and commercial spaces, including apartments, hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, and essential parking garages. A key component of the project includes the expansion of training facilities for Orlando City SC, which will feature additional fields and a new headquarters for the team.

A phased construction approach will be adopted to ensure a smooth development process. Moreover, upgrades to the Osceola County Stadium are planned, which will enhance seating capacity and modify the venue to operate effectively as a soccer stadium, thereby accommodating both local and regional sporting events.

County Commission Chair Viviana Janer underscored the project’s significance, noting its potential to address local community needs while fostering targeted economic growth. The initiative aims to revitalize the East 192 Community Redevelopment Area, which has been identified as essential for the county’s development strategy.

The existing facilities at Osceola Heritage Park, such as the Silver Spurs Arena, will continue to play an important role, hosting various community events including the annual Silver Spurs Rodeo and Osceola County Fair. This aspect of the project ensures that the local cultural heritage and community events remain vibrant in the area.

The development aligns with Osceola County’s goal of diversifying the local economy, complementing ongoing projects such as the development of NeoCity. This mixed-use project reflects a well-rounded approach to stimulating economic activity and providing residents with a blend of housing, recreational, and commercial opportunities.

A preliminary fiscal impact analysis indicates that the new development could lead to the creation of approximately 855 permanent jobs in the region. This potential job growth is critical for the local economy, as it may provide residents with enhanced employment opportunities across various sectors.

The county intends to commence negotiations immediately with K&K Sports regarding deal points for the project. However, any potential agreement will require approval from the County Commission to proceed further.

Osceola County owns the Heritage Park and had previously issued a Request for Letters of Interest to identify suitable development partners. The decision to partner with the Wilf family reflects a strategic move toward elevating the park’s significance as a community hub and fostering long-term growth.
