Orlando – Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining event is returning for its 20th anniversary, taking place from August 15 to September 30, 2025, across more than 160 restaurants in the Orlando area. This beloved annual event features preset meal offerings that promote local dining while contributing to charitable causes within the community.
This year, the initiative will support the Reed Charitable Foundation as the primary beneficiary, focusing on improving childhood development and literacy. A portion of the proceeds from each meal sold will be directed towards this foundation, which actively supports various local organizations, including Orange County Public Schools and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.
Last year, Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining raised a substantial $352,218 for local charities in Central Florida. In addition to the Reed Charitable Foundation, proceeds will also benefit six other local charities dedicated to childhood literacy initiatives. From each $40 meal sold, one dollar will be donated, while two dollars will assist the foundation from each $60 meal.
Food enthusiasts can expect an array of dining experiences as over 160 restaurants participate, with 24 of them entering the program for the first time and 15 recognized by the MICHELIN Guide. Each restaurant will provide three-course preset menus priced at either $40 or $60, allowing patrons to enjoy high-quality dining at more affordable rates.
Restaurants located on Disney property and throughout the Universal Orlando Resort are also included in this year’s lineup. The participating establishments span a variety of neighborhoods and districts, including Winter Park, Restaurant Row, and Downtown Orlando, encouraging residents and visitors alike to explore the culinary diversity of the area.
As an additional incentive for community support, Visit Orlando plans to award $3,000 donations to nonprofits in each of Orange County’s six districts. This initiative aims not only to support local charities but also to enhance traffic to restaurants during the traditionally slower month of September.
New this year, diners can look forward to a special 20th Anniversary Dish available at select participating restaurants, providing a unique culinary experience designed to celebrate the milestone of this event. To cater to various dietary needs, restaurants are filtering their offerings by dietary preferences, including options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diners.
Reservations for the Magical Dining experience can be made simply online at OrlandoMagicalDining.com. Most restaurant listings include links for reservations via OpenTable, adding convenience for those eager to enjoy this culinary tradition.
Since its inception, the Magical Dining event has made a notable impact by raising nearly $3 million for local nonprofits. Over the past five years, the Reed Charitable Foundation has trained 1,376 educators in Orange County, positively influencing around 172,000 students, underscoring the event’s commitment to enhancing community welfare.
With its rich history and community focus, Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining event promises to deliver an exceptional dining experience while supporting crucial charitable efforts, reflecting the spirit of Orlando’s vibrant culinary scene. As the 20th anniversary approaches, food lovers are encouraged to partake in this unique opportunity benefiting both local eateries and meaningful causes.
