The Electric Daisy Carnival in Orlando has received the inaugural Golden Brick Award in the entertainment & special events category, acknowledging its significant contribution to the community. After 12 years, this marks a milestone for the festival, which is set to draw 300,000 attendees this November. With performances by over 100 artists, record-breaking shows, and vibrant amenities, EDC 2024 promises an unforgettable experience, highlighting Orlando as a premier destination for entertainment.
Orlando has officially recognized the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) with its first-ever Golden Brick Award in the entertainment & special events category for the year 2024. This prestigious achievement was announced by the Downtown Orlando Partnership, highlighting the festival’s significant impact on the local community and events landscape.
This award marks a milestone for EDC, which has been a staple in Orlando for 12 years, taking place at Tinker Field. The festival has only been submitted for the Golden Brick considerations three times prior, achieving finalist status each time, but this year, it finally clinched the esteemed award.
The upcoming EDC Orlando is scheduled to occur from November 8-10. It is expected to draw an impressive 300,000 attendees over the three-day event. Attendees can look forward to performances from more than 100 artists across five stages, including renowned DJs like Diplo, Alesso, Kaskade, and Tiësto.
This year’s festival will set a record for the highest number of back-to-back performances in its history, with daily events running from 1 p.m. to midnight. General admission tickets are available at approximately $132.14 for a single day or $264.34 for a three-day pass. It’s noteworthy that tickets are already reported to be 95% sold out.
Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere with diverse amenities, including a variety of food vendors, water refill stations, merchandise booths, lockers, and medical services available throughout the festival. Festival-goers can also enjoy carnival rides, including a Ferris wheel, enhancing the overall experience at EDC Orlando.
For those planning to attend, limited accessible parking spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Paid parking will also be offered; general parking is set at $30, while premiere parking options have already sold out. Additionally, EDC shuttles will be in operation, providing transport from selected hotels in Central Florida directly to the festival gates.
Attendees are reminded of the festival’s guidelines regarding allowed and prohibited items. It is emphasized that all bags must be clear, and a comprehensive list of permitted items can be found on the official EDC website. This includes specific regulations on totem sizes for festival-goers, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all within a safe environment.
