Orlando, Florida – The D23 Official Disney Fan Club has announced an exciting event for its Gold Members, the “D23 Spooktacular Spotlight.” Scheduled for October 12, 2025, this exclusive gathering will take place at Walt Disney World, showcasing the enchanting world of Disney Halloween celebrations.

The event will offer a unique, behind-the-scenes experience that highlights the creative processes behind some of the most iconic Disney attractions. Ticket prices are set at $67, with an additional $3 processing fee. Ticket sales for D23 Gold Members will begin on September 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).

The day will kick off with a special pre-park-opening screening of “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Following this screening, attendees will participate in a panel discussion at AMC Disney Springs, led by experts from Walt Disney Imagineering. This panel will delve into the theme of “Illusioneering,” discussing the creative elements that bring beloved attractions, such as the Haunted Mansion, to vibrant life.

Participants in the D23 Spooktacular Spotlight event will receive several perks, including a popcorn and drink voucher, a limited-release D23 Halloween pin, and an event credential, enhancing their overall experience.

This event is a part of the newly introduced D23 Spotlight Series, which aims to provide fans with unique insights into various Disney topics. Previous events in the series have celebrated milestones such as the Walt Disney Archives’ 55th anniversary and explored the beloved Indiana Jones attractions, setting a precedent for engaging, informative gatherings.

Those attending the D23 event who require wheelchair or ECV accommodations are encouraged to contact guest relations at GuestRelations@D23.com no later than October 3, ensuring accessibility for all Disney fans eager to partake in this memorable occasion.

In parallel with this announcement, Disney is also working on a new villain-themed land at Magic Kingdom, which has generated significant anticipation. This initiative is supported by input from Disney Legend and retired animator Andreas Deja, who is consulting on the project. The Imagineering team has embarked on research trips to influential cities like Paris and Barcelona, studying their Art Nouveau and Modernisme architectural styles to inspire the new land’s design.

The project aims to blend historical artistic influences with the iconic aesthetics of Disney villains, coining the term “Conjured Architecture” to describe this innovative fusion. The creative team is dedicated to capturing the designs synonymous with animated Disney villains while emphasizing vibrant visuals and rich color schemes.

Furthermore, the Imagineers are focused on crafting immersive experiences that feature notable Disney villains in interactive and engaging formats, promising an environment filled with excitement and wonder for park-goers.

With the D23 Spooktacular Spotlight on the horizon, Disney aims to bring fans together for a “terrifyingly good time,” celebrating the captivating and sometimes chilling aspects of its beloved villain characters while also exploring the creative storytelling behind its renowned attractions.
