Backstage has compiled an extensive list of casting options currently available in Orlando and nationwide, which includes feature films, short films, and scripted shows, as well as promotional commercials for major attractions.
In Orlando, several feature films are seeking talent across multiple roles. One project is looking for lead roles including Eve-9, Lyra-5, and Sasha-X, encompassing ages from 18 to 50, with an average hourly rate of $30. Another film project has roles for Abigail and Brittany, ages 18-30, and William, a male role for ages 60-100, although the average hourly rate for these roles is not available.
For those willing to audition beyond Orlando, another feature film is seeking Tanner Keith, a lead male role for ages 20-35, with an average pay of $37. A separate national project is looking for Mary Ann, a lead role for ages 18-30, offering a higher hourly rate of $75.
Orlando is also opening doors for various short film roles. A notable project is casting for characters Nat and Lilah, searching for a lead female, non-binary role aged 18-25, as well as a supporting female role. The average hourly rate for these roles is set at $15.

In addition to films, several scripted shows are currently casting in Orlando. Roles available include voiceover positions for reporters/announcers and day players like Annie and Liam Stevenson for ages 20-35 and 25-35, respectively, with an average pay of $12. Another project is looking specifically for leads named Linda and Giselle, aimed at female applicants aged 60-99 and 38-45 with a pay of $18 per hour.
Universal Orlando Resort has opened a casting call for families, individuals, and couples for an advertising commercial featuring Epic Universe. Interested participants are required to create an introduction video detailing their name, city, and enthusiasm for the project. Filming can use a user-generated content (UGC) format and applicants do not need prior acting experience. This casting call will remain open until March 17, 2025.
In addition, the Mega Movie Parade at Universal Studios Orlando is seeking performers for iconic characters from films such as Back to the Future and Jurassic World. Casting for these roles requires male-presenting performers between 5’ and 6’3” and female-presenting performers between 4’9” and 5’8”. Submissions will be accepted until April 1, 2025, with performances beginning that same month through November.
