LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Three more Walt Disney World hotels in Lake Buena Vista are now part of a service that carries guests’ checked bags from Orlando International Airport straight to their rooms, letting them skip the baggage carousel.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and both halves of Port Orleans, French Quarter and Riverside, joined the Airport Luggage Transfer program this week. That brings the list to nine hotels: the five Value resorts and all four Moderate resorts. None of the Deluxe resorts are included so far.
The program has been growing in steps. Disney formally named the service in April 2025 with the Value resorts. Caribbean Beach became the first Moderate resort to join on Aug. 18, and JetBlue became the fourth participating airline on Sept. 24, alongside American, Southwest and United. Disney has said other carriers could be added.
The service works only on domestic flights with those airlines. A company called BagCheck handles the bags. Travelers sign up online between 30 days and one day before their flight, with both their hotel booking number and their airline booking number in hand. People who register more than a week ahead get luggage tags by mail. Those who sign up later do not get tags, but their bags are still delivered and can be tracked through a link in the confirmation email.
The setup recalls the old Disney’s Magical Express airport shuttle and bag service, which many repeat visitors still miss, though the new program only covers luggage. Guests still need their own ride from the airport to the resort, whether by shuttle, car service or rental car, but they no longer have to wait at baggage claim if their hotel and airline are on the list.
