ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando-area residents can expect another breezy, mostly seasonable day on Tuesday, but anyone thinking about a trip to the Atlantic beaches should hold off. Strong northeast winds, big waves and unusually high tides will keep the coast hazardous through about midweek.

Inland, Tuesday looks like a blend of sun and clouds with a few quick showers and highs in the lower 80s. Rain chances stay low around Orlando, around 10 to 30 percent north and west of Cape Canaveral, while the Treasure Coast could see 40 to 70 percent.

On the beaches, a Coastal Flood Warning continues into Tuesday. At high tide, seawater could spill into low spots along the shore and the Intracoastal Waterway, covering some streets, docks and lots. Breakers of 8 to 13 feet are possible, with a high risk of rip currents and more erosion. Out on the water, gale warnings remain posted, and offshore waves could run 10 to 15 feet into Wednesday, so boaters should stay in port.

A new push of Atlantic moisture Wednesday and Thursday should spread more scattered showers across the region, with the best odds from the Cape southward and an isolated thunderstorm possible. Afternoons warm into the lower to middle 80s, and overnight lows hold near 70.

The Halloween outlook is encouraging. Saturday may feel a bit humid, but the forecast favors trick-or-treaters, with evening temperatures falling into the 70s. The holiday shares the calendar with local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks.

One more thing for the weekend: Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, so clocks go back an hour.
