Packed crowd of fans cheering with raised hands

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado College senior Charlie Flint has been chosen as the top women’s runner in the SCAC for the past week, the third time she has earned the conference honor this fall.

The award follows her victory Saturday at the Augustana Interregional Invitational in Rock Island, Ill., where she covered the 6-kilometer course in 20:54.5. That made her the first woman in program history to run under 21 minutes, lowering the school record of 21:07 set at the same meet in 2024.

Flint beat a field of more than 300 runners in the top Division III race. Elena Stanciu of UC Santa Cruz was second in 20:56.6, a little more than two seconds back, after placing third at the UC Riverside Invite earlier in the season.

Flint led the 26th-ranked Tigers to 10th place in a race that included 35 teams, 10 of them ranked in the national top 30. Wisconsin-La Crosse, ranked third, won the team title, and the University of Chicago was second. UC Santa Cruz placed 13th with 362 points.

Next up, the Tigers play host when the conference holds its championship meet Oct. 31 on the North Monument Valley Park course in their home city.
